New in the portfolio: Self-Care Consulting from Allison B

We’ve been building lots of branding with deep symbolism and meaning. The kind of personal branding we love to design around here, we believe like attracts like. So, revealing this brand is super exciting for the Branding Collective team.

Self-care consulting was created by Allison Borstad to support people like her, you and me, the givers, and the nurturers. While we go around taking care of our clients, business, and families, we often end up exhausted, overwhelmed and burnt out. We just keep creating so many excellent results for others to the detriment of our own health.

The services provided by Self-care Consulting, therapy and consulting, and courses are for incredibly high functioning, intelligent, self-sufficient, and caring people.

The ones giving every last ounce of themselves to others until there’s nothing left for themselves. Allison shares the light of the end of the tunnel you can give to yourself and others without stress and mental health issues.

You can live a fulfilled and balanced life, have it all. I found the brand message very inspiring, don’t you?

We started designing the brand a leg deep in the Covid pandemic and cold winter. Both seem that never go away, don’t they? I feel that everyone has the winter blues more than in any previous year. It sucks for everyone.

The brand is in the flow, inspired by Spring, with a strong water connection and natural beauty. The color palette is soft, with hues of aqua and a darker grey for structure.

The gold accents are a reminder of the sun, self, and elegance. It is undoubtedly on point to uplift the mood, inspire tons of self-care, and then some. Watercolors are not to be missed when we want to create flow: the brand has plenty!

The logo is symmetric but artsy and imperfect in the magnificent icon. The lotus is overused in yoga and self-care brands. To make it unique while keeping its meaning, we blended the lotus with a sunburst, with a mix of clean and hand-drawn lines.

And the coolest thing is that it correctly represents the brand message. Like in any human condition, from the dirtiest waters, a beautiful flower rises… healed, at peace, connected with the higher self, into a new world of abundance, growth, and health.
